Principal's Message
Dear Laurel Family,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
I am so excited and truly blessed to continue working with my Laurel Elementary School family. LES is a close-knit school community built on genuine care and respect. The dedication and hard work of our students, staff, teachers, and parents make all the difference—and it's what makes our school such a special place.
Our teachers and staff are preparing for another amazing school year with a strong focus on student success. One of the most important factors in that success is open and ongoing communication between parents, students, and the school. We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns—please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me directly by phone at (727) 2685 or by email at beggers@jocoed.net.
We offer several ways to stay connected and informed. Please make sure you sign up for at least one of our communication tools:
- Phone
- Text
- Class Dojo
- JoCo App
- Our websites: www.jocoed.net and laurel.jocoed.net
- Facebook: LES Panther Pride
Together, we can build a strong academic foundation for our students—one that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
At Laurel Elementary, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive both academically and personally. Courtesy, kindness, and respect for differences—whether in people, cultures, or perspectives—are values we live by. Every individual is a vital part of our LES family, and we will work together for the success of each one.
I look forward to working with each student and their family as we begin this exciting new school year. Laurel Elementary truly is a special place, filled with caring and dedicated students, parents, teachers, and staff. I’m honored to be a part of this incredible team.
Here’s to a fantastic 2025–2026 school year!
Warmly,
Brenda Dishman Eggers, Ed.D
